Navigate Failure & Setback is for you when something in your learning has not gone the way you hoped: a test or module you did not pass, an application that came back with a no, a project that fell short, or a run of setbacks that has made the next attempt feel heavy. It walks with you from the setback towards trying again.
It helps you process what happened, draw out the learning and rebuild confidence. Its structure rests on research on growth mindset, learning from failure and self-compassion, which shows that how we think about a setback shapes whether we grow from it. A whole section speaks to academic setbacks and to keeping your worth separate from your marks.
Inside are two PDFs, both with your name on every page: a printable deck of A4 cards and a matching ebook. The sections follow different kinds of setback, among them Academic Failure, Failed Project/Goal, Public Failure, Repeated Failures and Fear of Failing Again, with themes such as learning from failure, maintaining dignity, changing strategy and rebuilding courage. Each card has a theme, a short description and an image on the front, and on the back a set of quotes from many voices and wisdom traditions, with room for your own notes. The ebook holds the same wisdom as a flowing book, to read on a tablet or phone or to print and bind.
I suggest you begin with the intro cards and the Academic Failure section, or the situation closest to yours, and stay with those cards for a while. On each card, choose one quote and write beside it one thing you will try differently next time.
